the importance of being kind

There is no reason to be unkind. We enter, soul incarnated as human, all from the same source. We are here to have our experience. For some that involves struggle, perhaps for most. The struggles in turn help grow us, lead us to our lessons and so that becomes part of our experience. That evolvement….constantly raising our conscious awareness of our soul, the light emitting from within….that seems to be the soul journey here on earth. People say that the light on this constant journey is love. Some are so consciously evolved that they just embody Gratitude and Service every minute of their time here; they see One, not separate individual “us”-es. Byron Katie wrote of a moment when a man pointed a gun at her and said he was going to kill her. She stared with fascination, in the now. She didn’t judge him. She said she hoped he wouldn’t do so. She said she understood that he was doing his best. And the man did not shoot. (Reading this left an impression on me (Hundred names for Joy).

so, it always seemed to me, from a very early age, that our purpose here could not include causing harm to others. it seems like one of the most important commandments…things would have to be very extreme in order to resort to that with somebody. we are each a soul on our journey. We must focus on our actions, our footsteps, our experience. We come in being given so much. So much unconditional love in our hearts, so much joy at our surroundings–wonder, curiousity about our body and environment and how it all works. Do you remember?
